Textile Mill - needs cotton - makes textiles Power plant - makes steal from coal and furthilizer from nitrates In Europe for instance factories produce weapons (arms) and in Norhtern US they produce Manufactured Goods (Mfg Goods).Ĭhemical industry - needs nitrates - makes fertilizer Has anybody ever played around with this idea?Īre you sure the PLAYER AID CARD is ment for this game (not the Deluxe version)? It doesn't seem like this would be too hard to figure out, with the right tools, but the only thing I can open these files with is notepad and it doesn't exactly represent the lines of code in any readable format. I also assume that outside of river, city center, and ocean squares, each square on the map has a series of probabilities associated with it-the likelihood of its being plains, hills, mountains, forest, farms, village, industry, or what-have-you. Presumably when you open the CITIES0/1/2/3 files, the seemingly random characters associated with each city name correspond to the city's location on the map. pic files that come with it, though of course that would hardly be enough. I don't have a program that can open any of the. I'm curious, like Pipit a couple pages ago, if anybody has ever found a way to edit maps for this game. Try building factories or powerplants in remote corners of the map to spend excess cash if you have trouble bumping up against that limit. ![]() ![]() ^IIRC from playing the deluxe version a decade ago, yes, the limits are still in place. Such mistakes happen every now and then, I just remember the version I used to have long time ago, sometimes without knowing there were different versions  Starting there would give you both access to Germany and France (->Paris) and it's a short route to begin with. One of the best starting routes was always Lille-Brussels-Amsterdam, though of course you should leave out any city that's small due to the game's randomizer. You must be thinking of Railroad Tycoon Deluxe ()!!! īut what I said still holds, the European map is the easiest of all. ![]() South American map is not included in this game. Of course, if you have any questions, feel free to post :) I suggest you start in Europe, it's a lot easier and faster than for example South America (more densely populated, more cargo) I'd say RRT is less complicated than Transport Tycoon, especially on easier levels where the stock brokers' market doesn't play an important role.
